Condensation Polymerization

Video Summary

Polymerization is a process by which monomers are linked together to form polymers. There are many different types of polymerization reactions, but condensation polymerization is one of the most common. In condensation polymerization, two different functional groups react with each other to remove water and form a larger polymer. The two functional groups can be present in two different molecules or they can be present within the same molecule. Some examples of condensation polymers include nylon, polyester, and Kevlar.
